Another busy weekend bites the dust and I've had one of the Beach Cottage kiddos sick hence not much stuff going on with the blog. We had a barbecue yesterday, yep the weather Down Under is hotting up so while y'all are thinking of rugging up we are peeling off..bring it on. I enjoyed the foofying of the table and I played around with some invites, menus and placecards on the computer – I'll blog it all tomorrow, I'm still looking after a sick little kiddo today.
I scored a great find a pair of gorgeous finials for a dollar. I have a bit of a thing for finials but finding ones that tick the boxes of my budget and my taste is often a trifle tricky. So I snatched these up (loving the little bit of aged rust), knowing exactly where they were going…I'm really pleased with how they've turned out, funny how little things can pull together a room.

You are truly gifted! I wouldn’t have given those finials a second glance! Along with your drapes, stars, and white background, they add to the relaxed but elegant look you always create!
You are a featured blogger on my blog this week! Check it out…

Good find…what a deal! I got a white Pottery Barn bottle shaped vase at The Salvation Army this weekend for a dollar! Woo-hoo! I am making it my personal goal to hit the thrift shops at lease one time a month, if not more. Thanks for the inspiration!
These finials look the prefect touch to the window dressing…a great look and a bargain to boot!!
They look great in your home! What a wonderful find.

That’s a great find for $1!! Don’t ya just love finding great deals! It’s like a treasure hunt!
Isn’t it just amazing what people get rid of? I guess what they say is true “one man’s trash is another man’s treasure” only in this case I think it’s a woman’s treasure.
Those finials are the perfect finishing touch for that window.
Hope your little on gets better soon.
Have a happy day.
Vicki
Sorry – meant to say little one not little on.
Wow……..that is a score. They look like something from Pottery Barn. They look great with the panels. I added you to my blog roll. Don’t want to miss anything. cherry
Another wonderful find. The look very Pottery Barn-ish. Sorry you are tending after a sick wee one – hopefully all will be well quickly.

Oh you really do find the best things! I think i will have to get on the trail too! Mel xxx
Lovely stuff as usual. Could you just pretend it is raining for the sake of us in the UK. Just spent one of the two nicest days of the year at Legoland queueing, rather than lazing on a sunny beach – upmphhh!!
