I'm combining my tablescape this week with the first Beach Cottage Giveaway.
I was delightfully surprised at how easy this worked for my latest tablescape – go to Susan's Tablescape Tuesday for some more wonderful ideas, I just love to browse through them…this just pulled together so beautifully without any fuss, was quick and easy but looked not quick and easy (love that) - there's just something about those stripes, with white behind and plain accessories that just makes me sigh.
I've been hunting out the putty stripe napery for a while now, but every time I've been by the beach boutique they've been sold out. So the last time I went in there one of the lovely beachy ladies spied me stroking things, walking around drinking it all in and asked me if I would like some assistance. I told her my dilemma, that everytime I come in the putty colour has walked out the door in double quick time. Oh yes she said but you know red and white and blue and white are our top sellers. I can put them aside for you, just a small deposit. Can you? Done. In fact, I'll have two sets, one for me and one for my bloggie friends.
So here's what you get, 4 putty beachy placemats, four napkins and four napkin rings (oh yep of course I'll be sticking in some extra surprises!), just stick it with a white tablecloth and some plain china & glass, a loada candles and tealights and voila! I'll send anywhere in the world so anyone can play…

Ocean City on the Atlantic is the place I have always wanted to call home. Still in my dreams though. I think that’s why my little apartment is decorated in as much sea/ocean things as I can get into it. Would love to see these on my dining table. xxoo
I just discovered your blog recently & I love it!!! I love your attitude and I’m now telling everyone that I’m a ‘professional collector’. I was tired of saying ‘I’m obsessed’. gee, I hope I win your giveaway….I SO want those placemats.

My first time I have come by and love what I see …
Great blog and such a beachy feel to it all.
Nice to find another Aussie gal among us:)
Please also enter me of course:)
Wow, this has got to be my new favorite blog for decorating. You are so very talented and I love how you do the thrifting and are so generous with showing your finds and how you recreate them. I am part of http://www.junkmarketstyle.com a repurposing site in the US. I am one of their contributors and post under the name of MimiToria. I have a cabin that I do the beach theme with and so enjoy your blog. Again thanks!
This table setting is gorgeous. Just love the putty color you’ve used and am inspired to do more of that sort of thing.
Gretchen
I’d love to live in your little beach cottage!
