Four years ago, like one of those sea change shows on TV, we packed up our belongings and emmigrated from Britain, to the other side of the world, Australia, to a new life on the beaches of Sydney… a new life by the sea.
And a few years on from that, ready to put down roots, we bought a tatty old fixer-upper beach cottage, neglected, sad and in need of a new family to give it some love.

Ooooh Sarah! Sarah, I see all your inspiring photos and want to paint everything white!white!white! but then I go all color crazy and end up with color piled upon color! lol The little table from the Barn Sale I am stripping has the most amazing burled wood underneath it and begging for stain in warm tones, and I’m trying to convince it to go Dior Grey for me with details picked out in silver and the burled stained in translucent black. I’ll have to send you some pics later so you can see my dilemma! lol

Thank you Sarah, for reminding me yet again what is important. Our attitude is one of the few things that we have control over – believe me the last three years have been so difficult, sometimes I actually have to ask myself OUT LOUD – okay, how am I going to feel about things today?
I love knowing that it’s not just me who needs to be reminded every once in awhile that we do indeed have a choice in the way we respond to our situations! A positive outlook can make make things a lot better, that’s for sure. Sarah my friend, seems like we’ve been on parallel paths, on opposite sides of the world.
