We are headed to the Pacific Coast day after Christmas for a beachside holiday. Because it is cold up here in the North, we are leaving our wee vintage travel trailer ‘The Pearl’ home and staying at the Sonoma Wine Country Hilton…our room will have french doors leading to a Lanai. Can’t wait!

One of these days I am going to have a beach cottage to decorate for Christmas….it will be all blues, greens and aquas and silver and white. And a white tree with nothing but white glittered star fish on it…..sighhhhhh.

I’m happy for you, but sad for myself! I’m in rainy, cold Massachusetts – yuck! Thank you for sharing and I almost felt warm for a few minutes thanks to your description. Yes, I believe you love it there and you should! So beautiful and looks like nice calm water over the weekend.

Hey Sarah – what fun to be beach camping in December! O’Sullivan’s Retreat sign caught my attention (we are Sullivans, DH’s grandfather dropped the O’ after emigrating from County Kerry). Perhaps we’re related to that restaurant, lol!!

Weather looked lovely at the ocean – glad you had fun. Stop by and see what I was doing over our chilly weekend – it was fun though and quite exhilerating in the fresh air. By early evening we could smell the wood fires in the neighborhood, so after we got settled for the evening we lit ours and watched an old BBC series.
Life is good.
