Howdy partners. All well here, long, hot, sunkissed, days. Boy am I enjoying the school holidays.
I can honestly say that this is the first year, since we had our third child that the school hols have been too easy. Not that they weren't easy before, more that now we seem to have reached an equilibrium…the little one is now old enough to not be so little, the teenager is pretty much so laid back that anything goes anyway and the female in the middle seems to not really care all that much about too much.
Which leaves me, to get up late, not have to worry about taxi-driving, no school things to do and time to just hang out in the sun.
And that's what I love about Australian life.

What more, really, can one mother-of-three ask for in life?
Anyway that's not quite why I came here today to blog. I stopped by to tell you about a Press mention alerted to me by lovely reader Nicola. Thank you.
She emailed me to say did I know that Paddy Hintz of the Courier Mail in Queensland had featured me?
No I did not, I don't get my hands on that publication too often…
I tell you what though, Paddy Hintz (no it is not the name of some funny old Irish guy) seems, very much, like my kinda gal...
I mean, she wrote that I am and she loves, and I quote 'a shopper on the cheap', that I am 'not afraid to admit my bargain hunting ways' (are people really afraid of that?) and that I am a 'very generous soul' (I really hope Mr BC does not read that lol!)
What's more, quite on the ball, I think this Ms Hintz may well be…:-)
'I really like this one because most of it is all the bloggers’ own work.
Instead of cannibalising the interior decor publishing industry by reprinting images from her favourite decor magazine'
bring it on Paddy, couldn't have put it better meself ;-)
Ok, I'm signing off for now, I'm working on a cheap as chips makeover of an old frame…involves black paint, lots of lettering and a trip to Vinnies, hee hee!

Congratulations, Sarah, you deserve the mention! One day you will be published far and wide! Maybe you should write your own book?! I enjoy your blog, as always. Hugs, Cindy S.
Congrats on the press! Do bloggers really canabalize magazines? Hmmm… not the ones I stalk, lol. Most of the world has yet to know about our little addiction of spray paint, great comments and sharing the love. It’s all about helping each other and creating fabulous environments for our families, most of us on a super cheap budget. There are the “real” decorator blogs, and then there are the “real HOME” decorator blogs — you, my dear are among the cream of the crop amongst those!
Congrats on your post. And I too have noticed that your pics are YOUR pics! I also try to keep the pics on my blog, my own. And that article does show that someone is watching. Have a great day!
Congratulations! and you deserve it!!! AND what? you are using black paint? You gotta show that one!
Good to see you getting the recognition you deserve!
Well sums it up really Sarah. Congratulations, you deserve it.

Seriously though you are an inspiration to people like myself who dont have much money but still want to live surrounded by beautiful things. Keep up the good work Sarah there are alot of us out here depending on you for our daily fix! ;o)
Good Job Sarah! How does it feel to be so darn POPULAR?!!
Hmmm, using some black paint now, are you? You’re not going to start going in a whole other direction are you? Well, whatever you do I know it will look great!

Tickled me pink to read this post! But, Sarah, I’m actually mortified to realise I completely forgot to ask permission to post your photo. Hope you can forgive me and hope the link sends a few readers your way. Love how you can’t help but share!
