Good morning lovely beach cottage coastal ladies! I hope the weekend was good to you.
I spent a lot of the weekend on the beach and Sunday I foofed around in the morning, doing some Sunday morning things, some baking and tried a couple of new recipes…followed by the afternoon on the beach with a book…
So, I thought you might want to see that The Bath had a little outing, no she does not have a name yet and no she is not in yet….but she did get her first pre-install test run one evening last week…
You see, by Day 7 I was desperate for a bath, I was way past climbing the walls, I was about to kill someone…
About mid to late afternoon I started scheming how I was gonna get a bath that night…all sorts of avenues were explored…check in at a local hotel…go next door with wash-bag in hand…or set up one in the garden…
I went outside to look at the old bath and it was full of timber and building stuff….but it was doable to get rid of that, give it a quick clean and set it up…but then I thought, why not try out the new beauty under the stars…I asked my lovely tradie what he thought of the idea…he continued to work, thinking this homeowner was one serious nutter…
I couldn’t stop thinking about it…and as soon as Mr Beach Cottage got home from work, I asked him what he thought (I had already worked out a cunning plan of attack : you see if I had said to Mr Beach Cottage…I want, need and have to have a bath tonight, there would have been eyebrows and not much action, but ladies, what I did, was MAKE IT A PROBLEM…one that in all his maleness he just couldn’t bear to not fix. Sneaky, huh?)
So I told him I had been thinking about filling the tub up in the garden, but it was a real problem to get the water out there and one, that in my femaleness, I couldn’t possibly muster up enough brain power to solve (in reality I had been out to the garden, checked out the hose and seen that it would easily fit on the laundry room hot water tap)
And so what followed was the males of the house, eager and willing to solve my problem and very much happy to help out if it involved broomstick avoiding situations…

So, they lifted the new lady out into the garden, attached the hose to the laundry room tap and started filling her up baby.

And I got to bath, outside,

as the sun went down…
I Instagrammed the photos…
and they made me look like the complete lunatic
that you are probably thinking by the end of this post
that I already am

See you next time…I am hanging with the Beach Cottage Kiddos this last week of the school hols…we are not planning anything other than heading down the beach and taking it easy…I’ll be around and about and hoping to pop in here but you may not see me everyday this week…if not, you’ll know where I am…
Oh, and please, do tell…what to you think of my outdoor bathing? I find it very coastal style and it sorta suits the whole beach decor thing
… any of you ever done it / have a bath outside? Cos I tell ya what…I know an old cottage where there will soon be one
