G’day I am Sarah and this is my blog…started a few years ago to document my new life by the sea.

Look, the name is a bit of a joke… it is all about an old cottage on the beaches of Sydney and what goes on in it, along with guest appearances from my long-suffering husband Mr Beach Cottage, my three kiddos the Beach Cottage Crew, and our puppy, Barley, who has his own fanpage on this blog here.

I blog about what makes me tick, how I am a real girl with a real budget trying (and often failing) to keep it all together (myself included) and keep my house looking all coastal and beachy at the same time.

While I am here I like to help other girls who may be on a similar journey to me…and I like to share the things I have learnt about white paint, vintage finds and coastal style, I blog the recipes that save me from getting on my broomstick and sometimes, for some crazy reason I decide I might embellish  the world with my views on fashion and beauty…with my forty-is-the-new-thirty real-girl style ;-)
