ABeachCottage founder Sarah is a British born Australian stylist, photographer & blog editor who lives on the sunny beaches of Sydney, Australia.
She launched abeachcottage in 2009 after a huge sea-change from the grey skies of London to the other side of the world, as a place to fulfil her passion for casual, laid-back decor and vintage coastal style and to document the story of the renovation of her old cottage and share the journey of her fabulous move to a new country, a new home and a new lifestyle by the sea.
Her work has been featured in top magazines and newspapers around the world and she has worked with leading clients on her blog …her book is currently in the works and a new e-course is on the way… and her e-course Sweet Blogging, How to Blog for Real Girls has been a huge success with women around the world loving her tips on how to grow a blog and have a busy real life.
Sarah’s blog quickly grew and today is one of the leading blogs in Australia with thousands logging in daily to see her latest vintage find and gathering inspiration to re-use, re-purpose and re-invent for a comfy, easy coastal vintage home. She motivates her readers to source old cast-offs, browse flea markets and garage sales and turn them into much loved pieces with a past.
Eschewing the beach-themed look she combines bare floorboards, coir rugs, white cotton, neutral stripes, wicker baskets, Adirondack chairs, fresh flowers, and large puffy white sofas with the odd sea shell and displays a few interesting finds tumbled by the sea and washed up on the beach…
An advocate for winging it and not worrying about perfection Sarah loves to combine coastal, cottage and country for her much loved unique Beach Cottage style – she shares her projects, decorating ideas and ways to achieve a comfortable and casual home for real girls with real budgets and a real life.
Sarah’s blog is updated throughout the week and includes a selection of posts from how to paint furniture, make banana bread the easy way, how to get out there and smell the roses, blogging tips, ideas to improve photography and simple ways to love your home – all to inspire her readers to live a creative, happy life.
If you would like to contact Sarah regarding product styling, photography work, consult her regarding how to blog & use social media, blog sponsorship, advertising or would like a media pack please get in touch, we’d love to hear from you. Please note abeachcottage is happy to receive products and information from PR companies but we do not blog for free!
