It' a winner!

Hi Sarah, not in Cairo anymore, Cologne. Inspired by your Guest Loo posts, I have just about finished mine too. And am feeling pretty good about it. I too have the spaghetti pipes, but have left them exposed for now. Greatest find was the fantastic fancy wallpaper that makes the 1970's green tiles look like they were put in last week. Loving the blog... cheers Lynda

That's some awesomeness! Totally cool...

Sarah what a great find. It will finish off the WC perfectly. Look forward to hearing about the 'fun' had hanging the doors with Mr BC
Alison

How chippy & vintagey & delightful. You always find the best goodies!

Hi Sarah
Love your little find. I think wall art sound perfect for this vintage lady

Take care xx Julie

Now that's a cool find.

Such a great find!

Oh I have been looking for one of those! I actually found a lovely one on ebay in Australia but it was waaaaay out of my comfort zone price range. I think I am just going to paint a red cross on one that we found for $5. Yours is perfect though!

Michelle

Awesome find! Nostaglic for sure!

Can't wait to see the doors finished!

Lou Cinda :)

I remember that sweet box, or a version of it, from my Grandmother's old house.

I love old vintage cans and boxes! Right up my alley. Tis beautiful!

What a great find. Hope you were able to decide what you are going to do about your wc. Hugs from Canada, Cindy S.

Fab find! I love that you called the 2nd hand shops, treasure hunt shops - I'll be calling the Op-shops I haunt that from now on. :)

Great find! Cannot wait to see your doors finished and having a minute to minute report from you!

Perhaps you could make a video to post, then we COULD be flies on the wall!

What an awesome find! SO perfect!

Smiles,
rachel

Sarah I absolutely adore your blog and your latest find is just what we needed here last week. I sent my very own not-so-handy hubby off to buy me a french door that I could paint white and thought that over the course of the weekend he could get rid of a very ugly arch way and put up my beautiful new door..Nope my not-so-handy hubby decided to take on the circular saw which resulted in an ambulance trip..2 hours in surgery and a very sore and sorry husband hrmmm!!! now I have a nice big hole in the wall and no door HA!! so please if your hubby has to cut your doors to hang them use a hand saw =)))

The perfect wall art accent for your WC I think.
Hugs ~ Kerryanne

I like it.. I really do... there is a charm to it.. Looks like its been first aid quite a few times...

What a great find. I've been looking for one for years now!

What a spectacular find! I love items like that. Utilitarian in the past and now something you want to display. You really scored on that one. Thanks for sharing it.

You have such vision! All these things you bring into your cottage just look like old things but you have such a way of making it all into perfection!!!

G'day, welcome to my cottage by the sea, in a bustly little seaside town in Australia.
We found our fixer-upper cottage in a very sad state about a year ago, here you'll find our journey to renovate, makeover and decorate in a laid-back country coastal style.

We surf through life in our tatty old fixer-upper cottage with surfboards on the deck, old weathered furniture and lots of sandy feet...
I love all things vintage especially old pieces of neglected furniture with that faded patina only time can bring. I scour the beach-side suburbs for one-off vintage pieces and make it over with a distinctive whitewash that unites that old beach house ambiance with a fresh new feel.

I love vintage quilts, seashells, old outdoor furniture, white cotton, Adirondack chairs, Peroni, nautical stripes, vanilla, bare floorboards, lavender, home-cooked food, wicker baskets and pots of Australian tea.
I try to get away with doing the school run in my pj's and I have a pathological love for vintage china...
